Who are the StampingPals?

The StampingPals Challenge blog was created by three stamping friends – Kylie, Melissa, and Jill.  We are all long-time stampers and now we are all Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators too.  You can find out more about each us below.

I’ve been crafting for as long as I can remember from cross-stitch to tapestries, sewing and knitting.  I’ve never been any good at any of them but I like to give them a go.  Then I happened across stamping and my life was forever changed.  I LOVED it!  I got right into scrapbooking too and even ran an online scrapbooking business (Scrapbooking Essentials) for a number of years.  All the while I kept stamping.  Even when I decided to leave the scrapbooking industry I kept stamping (and scrapbooking).  I was starting to get frustrated that so many products just didn’t coordinate.  It was then that I decided to sign up as an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator as I loved how beautifully everything coordinated…plus who doesn’t love discounted craft supplies?!    I am now trying to grow my online Stampin’ Up! business all the while growing a wonderful, friendly and supportive as I share my love of creating.  I’m always creating, or talking about creating, or thinking about it too.  It’s my passion!

A big warm hello everyone, my name is Melissa and I am an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Perth, Western Australia. I’m married with two teenage girls.
I have been paper crafting for over 25 years now. I first fell in love with card making when I helped my sister make her wedding invitations (and then my own). I have always been drawn to Stampin’ Up! I love the colour coordination, stamps, inks, papers and tools. I used to purchase my supplies direct from the US so I was thrilled when Stampin’ Up! finally arrived in Australia.
I signed up as a Demonstrator just for the discount but I never dreamed the path Stampin’ Up! would take me on. I have made the most amazing friends all over the world, it really is a big, loving family. And I get to spend my workdays doing what I love.
I run regular classes from my studio in Willetton where I love to share my passion for inks, paper, ribbon and stamps!
Please head over to my webpage for class schedules and to shop online 24/7.
Or contact me via email with any questions, I would love to hear from you!

I’ve always loved crafting.  I’ve done cross stitch, needlepoint, knitting, and I love reading.  Paper crafting has held my attention the longest.  It’s creative, quick, easy and useful!  I started stamping when my first daughter was born and she’s long out of college now.  I joined Stampin’ Up! in May 2005 and adore their products and the color coordination they provide.  I papercraft several times a week (okay, almost daily!) and still love it.  Check out my blog at https://saipan-stamper.blogspot.com/.

For nearly 30 years, I’ve lived on the Island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands (on the edge of the Marianas Trench).  Saipan is a tiny place with about 50,000 residents.  It’s tropical and beautiful and friendly.  I share my love of paper crafting here by teaching a card class once a month and by selling my cards at four retail outlets.  And, last year, I started another creative endeavor and opened Saipan Snaps which is a cookie factory making the most delicious ginger snaps with locally grown ginger.  Yep, I’m busy and I love every minute of it!

Make the most of your time, and enjoy the little things.
